Our Commitments.
100% Renewable Energy.
Our school has been on 100% Renewable Energy since 2018. We partnered with MCE’s Deep Green Project to use them for our electricity needs rather than PGE. We have also changed to an electric stove and dryer rather than gas, to reduce the usage of none renewable sources.
Negative Carbon Footprint.
We have calculated that our carbon footprint is primarily in our employees transporting to and from work each day. So each month we purchase 6,613.71 Ibs of Carbon Offsets to offset our collective carbon emissions creating a negative footprint. So far we have offset 238,093.56 Ibs of Carbon.
17,292 Diapers
An estimated 20 billion disposable diapers are added to landfills throughout the country each year, creating about 3.5 million tons of waste. This counter above is updated monthly and reflects how many diapers we have saved from landfills by using entirely compostable diapers and training pants for all of our students.
